Sam joined Rose Litigation Lawyers in 2023 and is based in our Gold Coast office.
Sam was admitted as a solicitor in December 2021 after having completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Politics and International Studies and Criminal Justice) at Griffith university.
Prior to joining Rose Litigation Lawyers, Sam was working at another prominent Queensland law firm specialising in commercial litigation. During her early career Sam worked at a top-tier firm within the alternative legal services team working on large scale class-actions.
Recent matter involvement
- Successfully acted on behalf of a franchisor in a large-scale franchise dispute where a franchisee had breached multiple franchise agreements simultaneously. This matter was successfully mediated with all franchised stores being returned to the franchisor.
- Acted in a claim for negligence and/or unjust enrichment in relation to a deceased estate, settling the matter prior to the commencement of court proceedings.
- As well at the other matters above, I have been involved in a recent Royal Commission, a matter against the Commonwealth of Australia and other general commercial litigation matters.
- Acted for respondent formwork contractor in Niclin Constructions Pty Ltd v Yatala Formwork Pty Limited [2023] QSC 285 resisting a complex interlocutory application for the hearing of separate questions. https://www.queenslandjudgments.com.au/caselaw/qsc/2023/285
