Recent Matter Involvement
- Representing clients in various Queensland jurisdictions, including Magistrates, District, and Supreme Courts. This experience extends to instructing Counsel and advocating on behalf of clients to negotiate commercial resolutions.
- Ongoing representation on a number of matters for a large Queensland Independent Statutory Body.
- Successfully acted for a liquidator in respect of a $100,000 preference recovery claim against the ATO.
- Providing advice to insolvency practitioners on various issues that arise during their appointments, including adjudicating proofs of debt, addressing corporate tax liabilities, understanding rights and obligations under the Bankruptcy Act and Corporations Act, recovering voidable transactions, examining directors and bankrupt individuals, and handling insolvent trading claims.
- Acted on behalf of a national civil contractor in relation to various disputes with both residential and commercial developments in Queensland.
