Julien is a triple-qualified lawyer admitted in Australia, England and Wales, and France, with 15 years’ experience acting in complex commercial, technology, construction, estate and cross-border matters.
Now practising in Australia, Julien brings to Rose Litigation Lawyers a distinctive international perspective shaped by his experience across both common law and civil law systems.
Julien began his career in Paris, where he practised as a French advocate in a role comparable to that of a barrister. His work in France included construction, infrastructure and commercial disputes, giving him a strong foundation in courtroom advocacy, technical evidence, contractual risk allocation and high-value commercial projects.
He later expanded his practice in London, where he is admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, and has worked on matters spanning numerous jurisdictions, including Australia, the US, Europe and the Asia–Pacific region. Having worked across different legal systems and commercial cultures, Julien is experienced in building bridges between clients and their counterparties by helping lawyers and decision-makers understand each side’s perspective, cultural context, communication style and risk perception. This approach allows complex cross-border matters to move forward.
Since moving to Australia in 2020, Julien has practised in commercial litigation, building and construction disputes, technology and software disputes, estate disputes and employment restraint matters.
Clients value Julien’s direct communication and strategic, commercially practical solutions. Fluent in English and French, Julien leverages his international training and litigation background to identify the issues that matter and develop a clear path towards resolution.
Outside of work, Julien enjoys playing rugby union with his sons, teaching them French flair wherever possible, playing football, hiking and surf lifesaving. He also pursues his passions for history and linguistics when he is not fixing the house or the boat.
