For September 2019, the Rose Litigation team took on the Steptember challenge to complete 10,000 steps a day to raise funds for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
Cerebral palsy is a problem, often caused by brain damage as an infant/child, that affects muscle tone, movement, and motor skills. Many with the disability will never be able to take a single step without assistance.
In participating in the challenge, the Gold Coast and Brisbane offices challenged one another to a step-off. Now September has drawn to a close, the results are in! The Gold Coast office took a total of 293,080 steps and raised $200; while the Brisbane office took a total of 540,006 steps and raised $270. Across both offices that is 833,086 steps and $470!
Any amount contributed to the cause makes a huge difference to children and adults living with cerebral palsy, so we are delighted we were able to participate and raise money for such a great cause.
