On 9 February 2020, our firm was proud to be a sponsor of the 7th annual Eager Beaver Charity Surf Contest in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast.
The charity surf contest is an annual event in memory of Nathan Jager a.k.a “Beaver” who was involved with the Palm Beach Boardriders for over 20 years. Nathan suffered from Bipolar disorder for most of his adult life. Devastatingly, on one of his darkest days, he took his own life.
The objective of the contest is not only to remember Nathan, but to raise awareness of mental illness and ultimately, raise money for LIVIN. LIVIN is a charity founded by Dwayne Lally who, like many others suffered with mental illness in silence before taking his own life.
LIVIN is all about living your life at the top and breaking the stigma around mental health through cutting edge development programs, community awareness initiatives and promoting wellness and positive living in young people within the community.
Our firm’s director, Shaun Rose, competed in the event and is pictured here, enjoying the day with his two daughters Ava and Taylor. The event was a fantastic day with significant community involvement and raised an impressive $5,000.
Well done to all participants and Palm Beach Boardriders for making it a successful day.
