Helen has been a member of the Rose Litigation team since 2021, practising exclusively in commercial litigation. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2019 and subsequently in the High Court of Australia. Helen holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Journalism from the Queensland University of Technology. Helen was awarded the Tom Cain Trophy for Outstanding Extra Curricular Achievement, awarded to one alumnus annually.

Her practise focuses on defamation, insolvency, construction, contractual and business disputes. Her approach to matters is holistic, she looks for the big picture outcomes and is practical and commercial as to how to get there. Helen is known for her empathy with clients and understands the emotional toll and havoc a dispute can have on her client’s lives.

Helen is an advocate in the legal community both on a Queensland level and nationally, holding various leadership and executive roles in the Queensland Law Society, Queensland Young Lawyers and the Law Council of Australia. She is a regular guest speaker and presenter at industry events and consider an industry mentor. She is also a regular volunteer in community legal centres (including several years as a Red Cross International Humanitarian Law volunteer speaker) with a passion for pro bono work and access to justice. Helen is a four-times finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 under 30 Awards and other notables.

Outside of her legal world, Helen plays the piano and enjoys duets with her little dog, Beau.
